History, Mission, Leadership & Accreditation
Nazareth Medical College (NMC) began in 2005 as an initiative of the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary to foster professional nursing education and promote excellence in practice. Located within Nazareth Hospital, Kiambu, NMC prepares ethical healthcare professionals grounded in compassion, competence, and service.
The College operates within the Nazareth Hospital governance framework under the Archdiocese of Nairobi and FIHM Sisters, with academic leadership that oversees curricula, quality assurance, and student welfare in line with national standards.
